DICH Gallery

The DICH Gallery is an exhibition project created by the architect and curated by Serafima Shchedrina OTKYDACMEX in St. Petersburg, founded in 2021. DICH is a white cube for young authors, a space open for interaction, the main focus of which is the creation of personal exhibitions.

The gallery collaborates with both Russian and foreign authors. The artists, whose exhibitions were presented in the gallery, work in various media, including painting, graphics, objects, installations, video art, performance.

Despite the fact that many contemporary artists are moving away from the concept of white cube, it is still important for aspiring authors to show and see their works within the walls of a “classical” gallery – this becomes the starting point for their subsequent activities. A fundamental step in the career of any artist is a personal exhibition, as an opportunity to look at oneself from the outside, to determine one’s strengths and weaknesses, to revise the accumulated material and present the fruits of one’s labor to the public in order to understand how to develop further.

The goal of the DICH Gallery is to offer a fresh perspective on the practice of contemporary art from a wide range of young authors to a wide audience.
